Jason Smith: "It's time to give Matthew Stafford respect. There will still be people who rip him if he doesn't win the Super Bowl, and there will even be people who rip him if he does. Stafford is a really good quarterback on a great team. He should be a finalist for MVP - he won't be, but he should. He had a great season. I don't get it. All I can do is tell you that this is who Stafford really is. It just baffles me that no matter what somebody does on the field, someone can still close their eyes to it and say he's a bum, cause he still has detractors everywhere. He's been exactly what the Rams have needed."
Jason Smith and Mike Harmon react to the Rams beating the Cardinals on Monday night. The guys analyze Matthew Stafford's performance, as he gets his first playoff victory of his career. Jason believes this win should finally silence the many critics of Stafford, as he has shown himself to be one of the better quarterbacks in the league throughout the season, and has finally seized the opportunity to win in the playoffs and negate the biggest detraction on his career thus far.
