It seems that MLB.com wasn’t ready for baseball’s Opening Day. Despite having months to prepare for the amount of people that would watch the games on the site yesterday…it crashed. Around 3 p.m. Eastern, the outage began and the outrage started spilling onto social media. One fan wrote "MLB TV being down on Opening Day is peak disasterclass. Inexcusable to be this unprepared.” Major League Baseball is trying to attract a younger crowd and this didn’t help. Many people are fans of teams that are out of their area and MLB.com is the only legal way to do that.
